Txell me hace llegar una web que va más o menos relacionada con mi trabajo, la Fiasco Awards, que es algo así como los Darwin Awards aplicados al mundo de las ICT.
Uno propone proyectos de ICT que han ido mal (bueno, de pena), se hace una primera validación, se abre un periodo de votación y en una fiestuqui (la cual pienso atender), al estilo Oscars, se dan los premios.
De mi propio trabajo se me ocurren como mínimo, y sin pensarlo demasiado, ganadores incontestables... pero creo que romperia mi NDA y me quedaria sin mis viajes a Londres si los propusiese. Oh well...
A nivel público se me ocurre a bote pronto el proyecto de informatizar la justicia española: mucho presupuesto, muy bonito y mucho bombo... ¡pero a nadie se le ocurrió pensar que los diferentes sistemas de todas las CC.AA. tenian que ser interoperables! El proyecto no podia funcionar ni aunque hubiera tenido un trillion de euros de presupuesto.
¿Alguien, no necesariamente del ramo, se anima a inscribir algún proyecto?
ps: Tanto decir que no habia hecho ningún post sobre temas del kurro, y voy y pongo dos en una misma noche.

Txell has sent me a link to an interesting site, the Fiasco Awards, which is more or less the Darwin Awards applied to IT projects.
The process is simple: you nominate an IT project that has gone bad (well, not bad... awfully bad), it goes through an initial screening, then all the projects are put up for a vote... and then you give out the awards in an Oscar style ceremony (which I'm planning to attend).
From my own work I can think of a few projects that would surely have won the award, but unfortunatedly I think I would break my NDA and then I would be sack and then sued (not necessarily in that order).
However, I can think of a public IT project that's gone wrong: the NHS IT revamp. What were they thinking?
Does anybody want to nominate any project?
